The Spanish climate varies by region and is very diverse. The north of the country is covered in green and has mild temperatures. The south experiences extremely high temperatures of an average of 30 degrees or above particularly during the summer. In the coastal region, sea breezes bring a bit milder air and make the temperature more comfortable.
In the summer there are about 12 hours of sunshine a day and it rarely rains. During the winter the temperatures drop to about 17 degrees. The closer you get inland, the colder it gets especially in the rocky regions like Grenada.
