Brazil, one of the biggest countries on earth, offers visitors a multiple amount of wonders of nature, different climate zones and many cities which are still showing the influence of the colonial times and are well worth to see. Its huge Amazonas area and its enormous area of untouched rainforest mainly dominate the north of Brazil. In the south hills and mountains shape the landscape.
Also the flora and fauna of the country is very much diversified, for example the tropic rainforest, which covers almost 50% of Brazil, offers ideal conditions for exotic life. Breathtaking impressions are inevitable. Besides the impressive Flora and Fauna, Brazil surprises its travellers with its friendly and peaceful inhabitants, which are very open towards strangers.
One thing becomes obvious: This holiday destination offers everything; from relaxation, sporting activities and enormous city-festivals like the world famous Carnival in Rio de Janeiro. It is no surprise that every year thousands of tourist visit Brazil, where 300 days a year the sun is shining and where you can relax your soul.
To generalize the climate in Brazil is due to the enormous size of the country impossible. Thanks to the geographic location of the country Brazil lays within the warmer regions on our Planet, however it can be separated into different climate zones. The north is very humid and hot. In this region the temperature can easily rise up to 42-44 °C. Rainfall can be seen all year long, but during June and November it decreases evidently. Compared with the north of Brazil the heartland is very dry.
Only in the summer it can face some rare heavy rainfall. Additionally the temperature changes a lot during the seasons. A third climate zone can be experienced in the south with its subtropical climate. The differences in temperature are relatively big in the south comparing summer and winter, whereas the northern part doesn’t see a big difference in temperature all year long. During wintertime the Deep South can see the temperature drop to 0 °C, in mountain areas and even snow is possible.
Brazil offers its surfing travelers a huge diversity of different spots. For example the waves on the northern coast are much smaller than the ones on the southwest coast. Also temperatures vary considerably. Whereas it is possible to surf all year long on the north-west coast without wetsuit with temperatures ranging from 24 to 27 degrees, on the south-west coast a wetsuit is inevitable with temperatures ranging only between 17 to 22 degrees.
The regularity with which the waves hit the northwest coast is with 50-70% surfable days almost equal likely. As Brazil is quite known as a surfing destination it is furthermore to note that most surf spots are relatively crowded with surfers that are having good surfing skills.

Additional to the flights between several South-American Capitals and the Brazilian cities, many international flights are offered which is a good alternative compared with long distance road trips.
The most frequently travelled airports in Brazil are the “Aeroporto Galeão” in Rio de Janeiro and “Aeropouerto Guarulhos” in São Paulo. Both airports are very well integrated within the international airline network. Further railway (between Brazil, Bolivia, Argentina, Uruguay and Chile) and Busses (between Brazil, Argentina, Paraguay and Uruguay) offer diverse possibilities for travelling.
