Flag Beach Surf Camp
Flag Beach is without a doubt the largest water sports centre in the north of Fuerteventura employing over 20 instructors in high season. We have a big infrastructure and offer not only surfing but also kite surfing and windsurfing with over 100 boards of one kind or another.
We don’t sub contract like other schools we do everything ourselves, from the initial booking through to the end of your holiday. Flag Beach runs the transport, the hostel, the surf school and it has had the same boss since 1988 who still is involved in the day to day running of the centre.
We pride ourselves on quality teaching making sure the group sizes are small so that customers get more individual “instructor time”. All our staff are multi lingual, live on the island long term and so have the experience of which locations are best suited to the day. We want results and we want customers to progress and be taught the right way with an understanding of the sea and its power.
Surfing is fun, it’s a lifestyle for many and if you can join surfing and work then you have the best job in the world that’s how we see it. Our enthusiasm for the sport, the ocean is hard to put in words you need to come and breathe it to understand. Why else would we still be here after all this time?

Fuerteventura, the desert island of the Canaries, it looks very much like the Sahara with is smooth barren volcanic mountains and lovely white shell sand beaches. Fuerteventura is the 2nd largest island yet one of the least populated and up until only 10 years ago there were more goats than humans!
Corralejo is situated on the northern tip it used to be a small fishing village until a few years ago; it still is a fishing village but has grown with as many as 20 + hotels/ apartment complexes around what is the "old town", tourism nowadays plays a major role.
Ferries run daily from Corralejo over to the island of Lobos and Lanzarote both o f which also have good surf breaks. Within 5-10 drive from Corralejo there are at least 6 surf breaks, some reef, some beach others point breaks and they work throughout the year, more so in winter.
There are lots of restaurants and bars not too much but enough to enjoy a night out and is 1 of the few places that has the perfect combination of good surf and good entertainment for the whole family.

The surf house is a large old Spanish house with 7 rooms sleeping a total of 16 people, there are 2 bathrooms, 2 kitchens, living room, roof terrace & BBQ area, board storage and wetsuit drying area.
The house has free Wi-Fi, Sat TV and a music system. It is located in Corralejo town centre and only 5 min walk from all the bars, restaurants, night life and our nearest break (harbour Wall) is at the end of the street!!
