The Caribbean is tropically warm all year long and temperatures hardly fall below 20 degrees. There in the daytime you will find average temperatures of about 25-30 degrees but also short and heavy rainfall is not unlikely.

From July till October the area experiences hurricanes that can, depending on their strength, also hit the Central American mainland. 

There are thousands of kilometres of Pacific and Caribbean coast. Swells find their way over long distances to the reefs and beach breaks of Central America and your guaranteed a vast amount varied and high quality waves.

Also the hundreds of Caribbean islands have a high potential for excellent surf and have already surprised many a surfer with its perfect waves.

In Central America and the Caribbean there are waves to be found to suit all ability levels. With a little luck and a sense of adventure you could even find the best waves of your life.

Most countries in Central America and the Caribbean have direct air connections from all the continents. If a country has no direct connections it’s usually no problem to reach it with just a stopover.

A fantastic experience also, is a journey via the Pan-American Highway, that connects North and South America and therefore travels down the whole of Central America. There are several private and public bus companies too offer a comfortable and exciting journey.

If you have some more time you should also consider travelling by ferry. This is especially an option if you are visiting in the Caribbean region or islands.
